Inside the Modern Agricultural Park in Johor, Malaysia, several large-scale glass greenhouses are utilizing soilless cultivation technology to grow high-value muskmelons. However, the typical tropical rainforest climate acts as the biggest roadblock: year-round temperatures approaching 35°C coupled with extremely high relative humidity.

The blazing solar radiation turns the greenhouses into massive "heat islands," and the stagnant, moist air prevents moisture transpiration from the crop leaves. This extremely muggy environment triggered fatal agricultural challenges:
Severe Crop Damage: When indoor temperatures exceed safety limits with zero air circulation, the muskmelons rapidly suffer from blossom drop, root rot, and widespread fungal infections, threatening the park with massive financial losses.
Ineffective Traditional Cooling: Traditional air conditioning systems offer zero economic feasibility for such massive greenhouse volumes.
To survive, agricultural engineers must deploy a highly efficient, high-volume greenhouse ventilation solution to powerfully extract the trapped hot air and create strong indoor air convection.
Upon receiving the retrofit request from the agricultural park, the POPULA engineering team tailored a coercive ventilation layout based on our JS-II-14C (Belt-driven type) Greenhouse Exhaust Fan. We fully equipped one side of the greenhouse walls with these heavy-duty fans featuring protective louvers.
Massive Airflow Output: Consuming only 1.5 kW of electricity, a single JS-II-14C unleashes a staggering airflow of 55,000 m³/h.
Instant Negative Pressure: When activated, this massive exhaust matrix rapidly forms a strong negative pressure within the greenhouse. Working in tandem with the intake windows on the opposite side, it instantly evacuates the stagnant heat and forcibly draws in fresh ambient air.
Precise Climate Control: The system strictly maintains the indoor temperature and humidity within the optimal growing range, safely operating under conditions of ≤50°C and ≤80% relative humidity.
Following the system's deployment, the "heat island effect" was completely shattered. Thanks to the ultra-low operating noise (≤78 dB) of the JS series, the park maintains an excellent working environment. The steady, 24/7 breeze not only eradicated the breeding grounds for fungi but also significantly boosted the pollination and growth of the muskmelons. Furthermore, the gravity louvers automatically seal shut when the fans are powered off, perfectly blocking out tropical rainstorms and pests.
