Warehouse Ventilation Solution: How We Helped a Vietnam Fulfillment Center Slash Costs by 65%

Last monsoon season, a 20,000-square-meter cross-border e-commerce fulfillment center located in the suburbs of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, faced a severe operational crisis. Serving as a regional hub for 3C electronics and apparel, the facility constantly battled harsh tropical climates: relative humidity frequently approaching 85%, with indoor temperatures hovering between 35°C and 40°C (95°F - 104°F). This extremely muggy environment turned the giant steel-structured warehouse into an unbreathable "sauna" and triggered three major operational headaches that required immediate, professional warehouse ventilation solutions.

First was the critical risk of cargo damage. The stagnant, humid air caused corrugated cardboard packaging to absorb moisture and soften. The facility even experienced a severe incident where the bottom layers of boxes collapsed under the weight, toppling entire pallets and resulting in tens of thousands of dollars in damages.

Second, to combat the heat and humidity, facility managers initially purchased a batch of traditional high-power industrial fans, running them 24/7. Not only was the dehumidification effect negligible—they were essentially just stirring hot, wet air—but the soaring electricity bills were staggering.

Finally, these traditional high-power fans generated noise levels often exceeding 85 dB(A). Workers on the sorting lines frequently complained of headaches and communication difficulties, leading to a significant drop in productivity.

Upon receiving the emergency inquiry, our engineering team immediately conducted a site assessment. By analyzing the site's temperature and humidity distribution alongside the building structure, we reached a clear diagnosis: The key to solving high humidity is not blindly increasing motor power. Instead, it requires establishing a 24/7, high-volume "continuous micro-circulation ventilation system" at an ultra-low energy cost. Given that the ambient temperature was consistently below 50°C (122°F) with no flammable or explosive gases present, this was the perfect scenario for our EB Series High-Efficiency Axial Fans.

We decisively phased out the facility's energy-draining legacy equipment and designed a distributed exhaust array based entirely on the EB Series:

  • For the main storage and high-rack areas: We deployed 30 units of the EB-6A model. Thanks to its specialized twisted blade design, a single EB-6A generates a massive airflow of 7,502 m³/h, while its running power is a mere 0.46 kW. This ensures that even when running non-stop 24/7 to extract trapped moisture at the ceiling level, the electricity cost remains remarkably low.

  • For the densely populated manual sorting lines: We installed 15 units of the EB-4A model. While delivering a solid 3,751 m³/h airflow, its operational noise is strictly controlled at ≤70 dB(A). Combined with a flangeless casing design and our heavy-duty mounting brackets, the units were securely anchored to the walls, completely eliminating the low-frequency noise caused by mechanical vibration.

One month after the system upgrade, the operational data was phenomenal. The continuous, high-volume air exchange completely broke up the stagnant moisture layer. The warehouse has not experienced a single cargo collapse due to softened cartons since, directly saving the client from massive potential losses.

Most importantly, thanks to the ultra-low power consumption of the EB Series, the fulfillment center's ventilation electricity costs plummeted by nearly 65%. Meanwhile, the workers are no longer tormented by high-frequency noise. The ambient decibel level remains in a safe, comfortable range, the mugginess has drastically decreased, and sorting efficiency has significantly rebounded.
